WALIBI RHÔNE-ALPES THEME PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS

 “The Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park” refers to all the attractions, theatres, queues, restaurants, shops, toilet facilities, visitor car parks, access roads, walkways, rest and catering areas, ponds, green spaces and, in general, all the facilities, infrastructure and equipment operated at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park site by the operator Avenir Land (hereinafter “Avenir Land ”) and/or its service providers.

By entering the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park, Park customers, service providers, suppliers and any person authorised by Avenir Land (hereinafter referred to together or separately as “Visitors”) unconditionally and unreservedly accept all the rules set out in these internal regulations (hereinafter referred to as the “Internal Regulations”).

Avenir Land reserves the right to refuse admission to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park to Visitors who do not respect these rules, or to expel them for the same reasons, without Avenir Land being held liable in this respect. Consequently, no indemnity or compensation of any kind whatsoever will be due to these Visitors and there shall be no reimbursement of the admission ticket or any other expenses incurred by them. Avenir Land reserves the right to take any action against such Visitors. 

ARTICLE 1. ADMISSION TO THE WALIBI RHÔNE-ALPES THEME PARK

1.1. Admission pass

Anyone wishing to enter the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park must be in possession of an admission ticket, whether free or purchased, that is valid for the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. The pass must be kept throughout the visit to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. Avenir Land reserves the right to ask Visitors to produce their ticket at any time.

Visitors wishing to leave the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park for a short time during their day of visit must first contact the Park’s control staff. To re-enter the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park on the same day, they will have to show the control staff the stamp imprinted on their arm when they left the Park. If they fail to do so, they will no longer be admitted to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park on that day. Avenir Land cannot be held liable under any circumstances for this and no indemnity or compensation of any kind whatsoever shall be due to these Visitors. No reimbursement of the ticket or any other expenses incurred by them shall be made.

Avenir Land reserves the right to refuse admission to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park to Visitors, regardless of the ticket they hold (for tickets purchased on site: Large or Small Visitor Ticket / PSH Ticket / Pregnant Woman Ticket / Student Ticket / Senior Ticket / Large Senior Ticket / 2 Consecutive Days Ticket / After Noon Ticket, etc. For electronic tickets: Freedom Tickets / Dated Tickets / Promotional Tickets, etc.), if the maximum number of Visitors set for the day is reached. Avenir Land cannot be held liable for this under any circumstances, and no indemnity and/or compensation of any kind whatsoever shall be due to these Visitors. No reimbursement of the ticket or any other expenses incurred by them shall be made.

Avenir Land’s service providers and suppliers shall be issued with a badge allowing admission to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park, on presentation of an identity document at the technical service office located in the coach car park.

1.2. Minors

Minors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult to purchase an admission ticket and gain access to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

Minors are and remain under the sole responsibility of their parents and/or carers throughout their trip to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. Parents and carers of minors must conscientiously fulfil their obligation to supervise minors. Within this framework, they assume responsibility for all damage caused by such minors.

1.3. Pets

Animals are strictly forbidden and are not allowed in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. There are no kennels at the entrance to or within the Theme Park.

Only service dogs are allowed. Owners must present themselves at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park reception desk on arrival. Service dogs must be kept on a lead and under the care of their owner 

Visitors are forbidden to leave animals in their vehicles at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park car parks during their visit. 

ARTICLE 2. PRIORITY ACCESS

Special facilities have been provided for at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park to make it easier for people with disabilities to move around. Information on access for people with disabilities is available at the Walibi Rhône Alpes Theme Park reception desk and on the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park website (www.walibi.fr).

People holding a Mobility Inclusion Card shall be given an Access Guide and a wristband on presentation of the said card and their tickets at the priority ticket desks or at the Walibi Rhône Alpes Theme Park reception desk. This will allow them easier access to attractions, theatres, restaurants, rest areas and points of sale. 

ARTICLE 3. HEALTH MEASURES

Visitors undertake to comply with the health regulations laid down by the public authorities and/or Avenir Land.

These rules can be consulted on the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park website (www.walibi.fr)and near the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park ticket offices.

Any Visitor who contravenes these rules shall be refused admission or expelled by the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. Avenir Land cannot be held liable under any circumstances for this and no indemnity or compensation of any kind whatsoever shall be due to these Visitors. No reimbursement of the ticket or any other expenses incurred by them shall be made. 

ARTICLE 4. TRAFFIC AND PARKING

4.1Pedestrian traffic in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park

Visitors are forbidden to travel outside the roads, walkways and areas open to the public in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park, in particular:

  • In areas closed to the public by a fence, barrier, chain, gate, sign indicating “Interdit” (Prohibited) or “Privé” (Private) or any other equipment indicating that the area is not accessible to the public;
  • In premises used by the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park for non-public services, even if they are left temporarily open;
  • In access areas reserved for emergency services (fire brigade, ambulances, police).

Visitors are not permitted to park in front of an emergency exit.

The ground may be slippery at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park due to weather conditions (rain, ice, snow, etc.). Visitors are therefore asked to exercise the necessary caution and vigilance when using the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. Visitors are strongly advised to wear non-slip shoes and not to walk fast or run.

4.2Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park visitor car parks

Traffic on the access roads to the Parc Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park and in the car parks must comply with the French highway code (in particular speed limits, right of way, etc.).

On arrival at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park, Visitors must park their vehicle in the parking spaces provided for this purpose in the Visitors’ car parks. Vehicle access to Visitor car parks is free.

Access to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park Visitor car parks is strictly reserved for Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park Visitors. The following vehicles are not allowed in the Visitor car parks (except with prior written authorisation from Avenir Land): vehicles towing a trailer or caravan, heavy goods vehicles.

The staff car park is strictly reserved for Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff, to the exclusion of all Visitors.

Visitors must strictly comply with the instructions of Avenir Land staff, in particular in order to facilitate traffic flow in the car parks.

The duration of parking in the Visitor car parks is limited to the duration of the Visitor’s presence on the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park site and shall automatically end two hours after the closing time of the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. Any vehicle left after the closing time of the Visitor car parks shall be considered abandoned.

In the event of non-compliance with the above parking rules, Avenir Land reserves the right to remove and impound the vehicles concerned, at the expense and risk of their owners.

Visitors’ attention is drawn to the fact that the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park Visitor car parks are not guarded. Visitors are therefore responsible for not leaving any valuables in their vehicle. Avenir Land can in no way be held responsible for any damage caused to vehicles and/or objects left inside, in particular as a result of attempted theft or robbery, acts of vandalism, fire, collisions, etc.

Visitors are responsible for all damage and accidents that they cause intentionally or unintentionally (in particular through clumsiness, carelessness, negligence, etc.) in the Visitor car parks. This liability extends to damage of any kind, whether physical, material or immaterial, which may be caused in the Visitor car parks, including to Avenir Land’s buildings, installations, infrastructure and equipment. Visitors are required to report any accidents or damage they have caused immediately to Avenir Land staff. Where applicable, the Visitors concerned must draw up an accident declaration in the presence of the aforementioned members of staff.

ARTICLE 5. VISITORS’ CLOTHING

Visitors must at all times wear appropriate clothing that does not offend public decency or morality and is in keeping with the services provided in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

It is forbidden to wear fancy dress costumes in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. As an exception, Visitors under the age of 12 may wear a fancy dress mask, provided that this mask allows them to have clear peripheral vision at all times and allows Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff to see their eyes completely. Special rules may also apply in the case of special events organised within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. They can be consulted on the media dedicated to such events.

It is forbidden to wear clothing that completely covers the face, except for health reasons.

Avenir Land may refuse admission to an attraction to Visitors wearing clothing that is so large that it is likely to get caught in the attraction (in particular a scarf, long skirt, cape, etc.).

ARTICLE 6. GENERAL SAFETY RULES

6.1. Prohibited substances and objects

It is forbidden to bring into and/or consume in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park any substance and/or object likely to endanger the safety, health or tranquillity of Visitors and/or the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff, in particular:

  • Any illegal substance and/or object (including drugs, etc.);
  • Any dangerous substance or object (including flammable products, explosives, gas cylinders, acids, weapons, lasers, etc.);
  • Any alcoholic beverage;
  • Any glass, sharp or blunt object (including knives, truncheons, baseball bats, etc.);
  • Any object with the appearance of a weapon (in particular a water pistol, laser pistol, etc.);
  • Any bulky object that exceeds the following dimensions: 55 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm. As an exception, objects required to transport a person exceeding these dimensions (pushchairs, wheelchairs, crutches, etc.) are admitted to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park;
  • Any object that can be used to make noise (including loudspeakers, vuvuzelas, megaphones, horns, musical instruments, etc.);
  • Telescopic poles for cameras or mobile phones;
  • Any radio-controlled object (including aircraft, drones, remote-controlled cars, planes and boats, etc.);
  • Any means of recreational locomotion, whether motorised or not (in particular roller skates, rollerblades, bicycles, scooters, etc.);
  • Any kitchen appliance (including stoves, barbecues, coolers, etc.);
  • All sports equipment (including balls, skipping ropes, hoops, dumbbells, etc.).

This list is not exhaustive.

6.2 Visitor behaviour

Visitors must behave in a manner that respects public order and morality within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. Visitors must not 1) behave in such a way as to endanger themselves and 2) undermine the safety, dignity, health or peace of mind of other Visitors and/or the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff, or the integrity of the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park equipment or the personal belongings of other Visitors and/or Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff.

In particular, it is forbidden to:

  • smoke in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park, except in areas designated for this purpose. This rule also applies to electronic cigarettes;
  • carry out any commercial activity that is illegal and/or not authorised by Avenir Land within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park, in particular the sale of goods or the provision of services;
  • resell tickets for the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park;
  • engage in any proselytising activity, in particular the dissemination of any message whatsoever, orally or in writing, for example by means of leaflets, flyers, brochures or posters, etc.;
  • damage the facilities, infrastructure or equipment of the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park;
  • damage green spaces, in particular by damaging trees, digging up plants, picking flowers, etc.;
  • dispose of waste outside of the bins provided. Cigarette butts must be extinguished and disposed of in the ashtrays provided in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. Visitors must strictly ensure that the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park is kept clean;
  • eat and drink in the attractions for safety reasons and their queues for hygiene reasons. Picnics are not permitted in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park, except in the area designated for this purpose;
  • cut in front of another Visitor in a queue. If a Visitor is in a queue, Visitors accompanying that Visitor are not entitled to join that Visitor in the queue, except in exceptional cases (for example : Visitor joined by a person accompanied by a small child or by a person who has difficulty standing for long periods of time). If a Visitor leaves a queue, they can only return to it at the starting point;
  • to use a mobile phone or tablet in the attractions, for reasons relating to the safety of Visitors and that of the infrastructure;
  • to use, for reasons relating to the safety of Visitors and infrastructure, a camera, equipment and/or any other device of a similar nature in the attractions, unless it is fixed by means of a chest harness guaranteeing that it is held in place for the duration of the attraction;
  • for safety reasons, to make video and/or sound recordings in the attractions unless they are made by means of a camera fixed by means of a chest harness guaranteeing that it is held in place for the duration of the attraction;
  • feed, excite, provoke, threaten or injure animals encountered in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park;
  • swim in all the lakes and rivers in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

This list is not exhaustive.

Avenir Land shall take all necessary measures in the event of disturbance of the peace, theft, damage, verbal or physical violence, offences against public decency, malicious mischief, failure to comply with safety instructions, inappropriate language or behaviour, etc. 

6.3 Visitor Control

Members of the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park security service are authorised to carry out visual inspections, perform security searches and search Visitors’ personal belongings after obtaining their consent. The Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park security service is also entitled to alert the relevant authorities.

Avenir Land reserves the right to carry out these checks at the entrance to and within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park, in order to ensure that Visitors are not in possession of prohibited substances or objects as referred to in Article 6.1 of these Internal Regulations, or that they do not represent a potential danger due in particular to the abnormal consumption of alcohol or illegal substances.

Avenir Land also reserves the right to refuse admission to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park or to expel from the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park any Visitor who (i) is intoxicated, (ii) is under the influence of drugs, (iii) threatens other Visitors and/or Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff, (iv) is in possession of prohibited substances or objects, (v) refuses to submit to a security search. Avenir Land cannot be held liable under any circumstances for this and no indemnity or compensation of any kind whatsoever shall be due to these Visitors. No reimbursement of the ticket or any other expenses incurred by them shall be made. 

6.4 Respect for the instructions of Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff

Visitors undertake to comply unreservedly with the instructions given to them by Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff. These instructions are given exclusively to ensure the health and safety of Visitors and Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff, and the integrity of the installations, equipment and infrastructure of the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park and the property therein.

6.5 Admission rules for attractions

Visitors undertake to read the safety instructions and the rules governing admission to and use of the attractions and to comply scrupulously with them.

Visitors must ensure, before entering an attraction, that they are in the physical condition required to enter that attraction. Admission restrictions related to the physical condition of Visitors (such as restrictions related to height, weight, body type, heart problems, pregnancy, disability, etc.) can be consulted on the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park website (www.walibi.fr) and at the reception desk located at the entrance to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

For safety reasons, Avenir Land reserves the right to refuse admission to an attraction to Visitors who do not comply with the access conditions relating to physical condition, even if such Visitors declare that they will assume all responsibility in the event of an accident.

Avenir Land declines all responsibility in the event of Visitors accessing an attraction in breach of the restrictions on admission to that attraction.

Visitors are advised not to take their personal belongings on board certain attractions (in particular mobile phones, cameras, sets of keys, wallets, etc.). These personal effects must be deposited in the lockers provided at the entrance to the attractions concerned. Avenir Land accepts no responsibility for the loss or theft of Visitors’ personal belongings from these lockers. 

ARTICLE 7. THEFT - LOST PROPERTY

7.1 Theft and damage to property 

Avenir Land declines all responsibility in the event of theft or damage to a Visitor’s personal belongings (including their vehicle) caused by another Visitor within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 6.3, the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park security service reserves the right to subject any Visitor to a visual inspection or security pat-down in order to determine whether or not they are in possession of stolen objects.

Visitors must ensure that their personal belongings are not left unattended. A lost property office is available at the entrance to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

7.2 Lost property

Visitors who find a lost item are asked to bring it to the reception desk located at the entrance to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

Lost property is stored at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park reception desk for the following periods:

  • the whole season for identity documents (national identity cards, passports, driving licences, etc.), bank cards and cheque books. These official documents shall be handed over to the relevant authorities at the end of each season;
  • Two months from the date of deposit at reception for valuables (including electronic equipment, jewellery, wallets, glasses, keys, etc.). After this period, the lost property is donated to charity;
  • 15 days from the date of deposit at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park reception desk for all other items (particularly children’s clothes, soft toys, etc.). After this period, the lost property is donated to charity.

Lost property can be collected from the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park reception desk, on presentation of a valid identity document (passport, identity card, driving licence, etc.).

Any lost or abandoned object found within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park premises that looks suspicious shall be handed over to the relevant authorities. 

ARTICLE 8. CLOSURE OF THE WALIBI RHÔNE-ALPES THEME PARK

Avenir Land reserves the right to close the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park in whole or in part, with or without notice, and if necessary to evacuate the Park or certain areas of the Park, in particular:

  • in the event of a threat to the safety or health of Visitors and/or Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff (bad weather, epidemic, terrorist threat, etc.);
  • if the maximum number of Visitors set for the day is reached;
  • in the event of a decision by the relevant public authorities;
  • in the event of force majeure; and
  • in the event of works.

In the event of early closure of the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park for the reasons set out above, no full or partial refund of admission passes and other services (queue-cutting, parking passes, etc.) may be requested by Visitors.

ARTICLE 9. SHOTS - FILMING

9.1 Photographs taken by Visitors 

Any photographic, film or video recording made by a Visitor within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park must be intended solely for personal use restricted to the private domain, to the exclusion of any other use. Any filming and/or use of the resulting images, films and videos for purposes other than personal, and in particular for commercial, promotional, advertising, media or professional purposes, is strictly forbidden without prior written authorisation from Avenir Land. Avenir Land reserves the right to take any action or recourse against Visitors who do not respect this rule.

Visitors are strictly forbidden to photograph and/or film the live shows presented in the indoor and outdoor areas of the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park in their entirety, without the prior written authorisation of the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

Subject to the provisions of Article 6.2, it is strictly forbidden to make video and/or sound recordings in the attractions.

Avenir Land is not responsible for photographic, filmed or video shots taken by Visitors, in particular when one Visitor films or photographs another. 

9.2 Shots of the attractions created by the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park

Visitors are informed that certain attractions at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park are equipped with automated photo-taking systems that automatically take photographs of Visitors as they pass through one or more stages of the attraction. The use of an automated photography system on a Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park attraction is indicated by an information panel along the attraction’s queue route.

By accessing an attraction equipped with an automated photography system, the Visitor gives their express consent to Avenir Land to:

  1. fix and record their image using the automated photographic system operated on the attraction concerned;
  2. display the photograph reproducing their image in the attraction on digital screens installed in the attraction shop and Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park photo points;
  3. print the photograph reproducing their image, solely for the purpose of selling the photograph of their image in the attraction to the Visitor. The sale price of these photographs is indicated in the attraction's shop.

Any photograph of a Visitor depicting obscene or immoral behaviour will be automatically deleted by the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff and shall not be offered for sale.

Visitors are strictly forbidden to photograph and/or film the photographs generated by the automated photography systems installed on the attractions, which are intended for sale only.

9.3 Filming at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park

9.3.1. Visitors are informed that photography, filming, videos and recordings for various purposes are regularly taken within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park (publication on the Park’s social networks, advertising, video clips, television or radio broadcasts, reports and documentaries, TV programmes, TV formats, films, etc.).

Visitors who do not wish to be filmed and/or photographed during this filming are invited to inform the person in charge of the filming on site or at the reception desk located at the entrance to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. 

9.3.2. Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 9.1 “Photographs taken by Visitors” for personal use, it is strictly forbidden to take photographs, films or videos in the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park without prior written authorisation from Avenir Land.

ARTICLE 10. VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

Visitors are informed of the installation of a video surveillance system in order to guarantee the safety of Visitors and staff, as well as the protection of buildings and installations, by means of statutory notices displayed in and around the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

The cameras are fixed and positioned around and within the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park. They are also worn (“pedestrian” cameras) by authorised Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park staff when they are called out to an incident.

This installation complies with Articles L223-1 to L223-9, L251-1 to L255-1, L613-13, R223-2 to R.251-12, R252-2 to R252-12 and R253-1 to R253-4 of the French Internal Security Code and Decree no. 96-926 of 17 October 1996 relating to video surveillance, governed by a prefectoral authorisation.

In the event of an incident, the images can be viewed by authorised personnel and the police.

All Visitors have rights concerning the images taken of them by the cameras. These rights are set out in greater detail in the section of this regulation dedicated to personal data.

ARTICLE 11. PERSONAL DATA

Compagnie des Alpes (Trade and Companies Register (RCS) Paris 349 577 908) and AVENIR LAND (a subsidiary of Compagnie des Alpes), as joint data controllers, process personal data within the framework of the marketing and operation of the products and services at the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park.

These data processing operations are described in the personal data protection policy https://www.walibi.fr/fr/informations-relatives-a-la-protection-des-donnees-personnelles available on our website and at reception.

ARTICLE 12. COMPLAINTS AND INCIDENTS

Visitors wishing to make a complaint to Avenir Land or report an incident during their visit may do so at the Visitor reception desk at the entrance to the Walibi Rhône-Alpes Theme Park or by sending an email to the following address: info-wra@walibi.com.
